Annyeonghaseyo everybody, Who doesn't know about Sunmi, she is probably the most anticipated and loved artist by the kpop fans around the world. Sunmi has always given her best that has kept the fans so tempted with her comebacks, just like her last comeback "NOIR" which was a super hit.
The wait is over for Miya-ne's (Sunmi's fandom), Sunmi dropped her comeback a few days back with "LALALAY" on 28th August 2019. This track is a slap to the faces of the people who nitpick about her. The track starts with Sunmi is inside a traveling suitcase, and unzips the suitcase and comes out to start the track instantly. The first line "What's the point of saying this? I did this and that" that notifies about the fake scandals that come up now and then, and yet she ain't scared of anything.
She says "Because of the mood is good, I'm okay, If I'm criticized until I crumble to dust, I'm okay", Sunmi is among the top professional artists in the industry and she knows that all this stuff that the people are gossiping about her aren't true and she cares for her fans more than these gossipers. With all the news that rambles around her, Sunmi says "They don't care, you don't care, everyone is coming in flocks", and that's absolutely true. And even when some people gossip about her but they also follow her style and want to be like her.
Besides the lyrics, the music video is just as her fans want from her, it is amazing with her craziness, boldness, hotness, awesomeness, and pure professionalism. The video is a bit darker at the beginning but goes towards the light as time passes by. The staring of the track when she comes out of the suitcase wearing a green dress looks fab. In the music video, you could see her in beautiful short dresses that show her hotness. And the golden dress where she does the choreo of the song shows her confidence with who she is and what she is capable of.
The music video has a lot of butterflies, the starting scene when she comes out of the suitcase resembles a butterfly coming out of the cocoon, which ironically means that Sunmi is letting go of her past, her dead skin, her worries & becoming free like a butterfly.
And how could anyone forget about her choreo that the audience is a fan of from her old track "Gashina", and I can bet at least once in their life everyone has done that step? And this track also got some steps that people are gonna fall in love with. Especially the last part of the track or the last minute of the track is totally based on the choreography of the track, which is the highlight of the music video. Check it out below.
