Annyeonghaseyo Everone! Mianhamnida
I was caught up with personal stuff so I couldn't post anything. Since it’s
Christmas today, I have prepared a list
of songs that you can listen to during Christmas. I hope these choices of mine
make your Christmas a bit more exciting and special for you!
So let's start...
Woojoo Jjokkomi - "White
winter"
If you can't figure out who's Woojoo
Jjokkomi, I'll help you out – these are two very famous people, one an
ex-Idol and another a comedian. Still can't guess? It’s Kim Hee Chul and Lee
Soo Geun! Lee Soo Geun? Knowing brothers? Wes! It's pretty fascinating
to watch him sing. The last time we saw him in a music video was with Kim
Hee Chul and Min Kyung Hoon in "Sweet Dream",
and in this one, he is singing with Hee Chul.
Talking about the song, I could say
there's a lot of hard work that went into the song, Because, Su-Geun is
not a trained singer, but the way he presented himself in the song is pretty
fascinating. The song is all about a break-up, and how the girl had cheated on
the relationship. The way Hee Chul and Soo Geun expressed the feeling is
phenomenal.
The song starts with Christmas
bells, and has a soothing grip from the start that is maintained till the end.
What's fun in the music video is that they have called a special guest in the
video and that's ITZY, and these two perform in front of them and
receive a standing ovation too!
THE BOYZ- "White"
THE BOYZ's "White" is a special song for them and the fans too - it's for the celebration of their
2nd anniversary. The members in the song show their love and support
towards the other members, and to the fans who support them and always motivate
them to improve. The music video is really cute – you can see the bond that the
members have created over the two years. They have become a family indeed – some
of them are baking a cake, while some play video games and the others are just
doing mischief. Talking about the lyrics it's smooth like the
icing on a cake, and it's also full of pure love and care. And since they have been living with each other it would be hard to separate them and even if we do that they will have a lot of trouble to adjust themselves. As seen in the music video the members now decide what the other one to wear and that could only happen when there's love.
SEVENTEEN - "Home"
This is a song released in January
this year but still, it has the feel for it to be a fit in this list. Even
without snow or Christmas tree, the words of the members made me choose this
song. The way members describe "home" is fascinating. For most, it’s
where our parents and siblings live but there's another home for SEVENTEEN (and
all the other kpop idols) besides that, and that home is amongst the members.
The song expresses the desire to
present comfort to a loved one or to someone who has brightened the day when
one was in darkness. The lyrics compare "home" to the mutual feeling
of a loved one, and how any obstacle can be conquered by relying on each other. And most importantly they too agree to this, the first line defines it "What I can do without you" which is a strong statement and there's a lot of such statements in the whole MV.
VICTON - "Nostalgic
Night"
This is a smooth EDM song with
powerful but delicate vocals and OH GOD! The music video is spectacular. A lot
is going on in the song and that makes it hard to concentrate on one thing. As
soon as the song starts, there is this beautiful instrumental melody that hits
your ears and you know it’s gonna be GOOD. The vocals are so perfect with the
tune as if they combined themselves together. The lyrics have a feeling that
eats up a person from within – the feeling to express how much you love someone
but can't express those in words, and when the person goes away you, are left
with the burden to tell how much they meant to you. (Waah~ I'm gonna cry) In the end, I could just say they have told us to express ourselves when you have the moment and everyone should try to do this at the right time.
Rosé (Cover) - "The Christmas Song" (Nat King
Cole)(1961)
Rosé's voice is widely famous to soothe people, and it can
be heard in this song too. The song is really cute and simple, nothing fancy
but has memories that make it special. The detailing of words might make most
of the listeners get emotional, and Rosé's voice gives them another
reason to. The song has stated some of the important things of Christmas – from
turkey to carols, and that kid in every person who is excited for a gift under
the Christmas tree.
Rosé has done an amazing job here, and even though I
don't celebrate Christmas, this song has made me love it.
Im
Nayeon (Cover) - "Santa tell me" (Ariana Grande)
This
isn't the first time she is singing this song – the first time she sang this
was during the selection period of Twice i.e at SIXTEEN, but that wasn't the
full version, but then Once got its full version.
The
thing that everyone will like this one over the original is her Korean accent
of the English words that are really cute to hear. The pronunciation that
stands out is "there" which she pronounces "thele", and
that makes Onces bust an UwU. And since this has a video makes it special with
an incident that occurred during the shoot.
Alexa
(Cover) - HO HO HO (Sia)
This
is a pretty hardcore song for Christmas. Since her debut, we found out that she
has an amazingly powerful and solid voice, and that shows in this cover. But what's
fun about this is that it has a music video, which even the original didn't
have. The cover video suits her personality, and the crazy mind that she has is
shown perfectly and it’s unique. And the cool/funky vibe it has is
exceptional.
I'm
just mind blown by Korean covers that made an already hit song even more
loveable!
IU
- "Blueming"
How
could a list not contain IU's song? Blueming is a cute song that
talks about an activity that all young people do around the world every day –
online chatting. The way IU has described it is really beautiful – she says
that box (Mobile phones) create a flower that blooms (Feelings). And she has
used some common phrases that we use in our chats like: "What are you
doing?", "I miss you", "No, I'm not busy, nothing
no-no", "I'm not asleep", which can especially be seen in
couples’ chats.
My
favorite line from the song: "Our rectangular box is bloom, We let roses
bloom with our thumbs"
The next one might make you tear up.
Ailee
- "Sweater"
This
song will make you feel special for the people who are always there to support
you. The lyrics are so elegant and mesmerizing to listen, and the meaning it contains
is absolutely amazing. It's a song that defines the importance of an
object (a sweater in this case) given to someone before parting away from them
and the really special and the priceless emotion that it contains. The music
video will take you to a mini roller coaster of emotions the will end up making
you cry.
Since
it's Christmas and ending this here won't be a good idea so here's the last
song that will make your Christmas happy and merry.
Z-Stars
- "It's Christmas"
A
song that will make you get up on and start moving those hips around! This song
is really great, and the artists that sing are really special since Z-Stars
are a group of people from different countries. Hence, a variety of emotions
are into this song, and the audience is varied too. The best part of the song
is all the members wishing their country people in their mother tongue, and
that's really special.
So
this was my list for your Christmas, I hope you liked it, and I hope it made a
smile on your face!
And comment dowm below which is your favorite song from this list.
